Dr. J.G. Locke was a Grand Dragon of the KKK in Denver, CO in the 1920s.  The KKK started on 10-16-16 in the Brown Palace in Denver.  The KKK crossed state lines and 2/3 of the Colorado legislature were klan members.

In 1925 the Colorado governor was also a member of the Klan and membership was known to cross the lines of both major political parties as well.  The Denver mayor, Stapleton, was also rumored to be a klan member.  He infiltrated the jury rolls among other things.  Locke was an incompetent doctor and was better at starting trouble than helping anyone.  He was so reviled someone shot a hole in his mausoleum door!
